Luca Galli, Head of Business Development at Pragmatic Play, talks to SlotCatalog about the provider’s offering, what makes them different, and what to keep an eye out for from the supplier in the future.
Hello, Luca! We are happy to welcome you as one of our guests in the interview section. Could you please make a brief introduction and share the main reasons for your company success?
Pragmatic Play has an ideal blend of a team with an incredible amount of talent, a customer-oriented approach, as well as a keen eye for market trends. The work ethic instilled throughout our teams allows us to flourish across a number of different verticals, while maintaining impeccable standards across our core offering, which is our slots portfolio. Our titles are regularly highly sought after, often with innovative themes or game-changing mechanics which players love.
Being part of the journey that Pragmatic Play is on is very exciting, as ultimately the goal is to become the premier multi-product provider in the igaming market. This allows everyone to remain focussed and enjoy what we do every day, as we always see the results which continue to be positive.
What upcoming titles do you have?
We strive to create three slot games a month and we have two titles to come out in the second half of February. Master Joker is an exciting take on an old school spinning wheel, with a 1×5 reel where wins can be multiplied by the titular Joker character. It’s an easy to understand game with plenty of win potential.
We also have Mysterious coming out in February as well, which is a spooky videoslot with 4096 paylines and plenty of multipliers and features to keep players engaged.
It is an artfully designed game with a clear attention to detail on the graphics offering the immersive experience expected from a Pragmatic Play slot.
We have also recently announced an exciting agreement with Endemol Shine that gives Pragmatic Play the rights to create Peaky Blinders themed products. This marks our first branded partnership and one that has definitely made a splash. The internationally acclaimed series has fans all over the globe and we can’t wait to create some really exciting titles that do the brand justice.
What is your favourite slot already released? Why?
It is difficult to choose a singular favourite, as we have so many! The recently released Buffalo King is an exciting slot, with a fun theme and well-created graphics. It continues to perform incredibly well for us a month after launch, with its mammoth free spins mode and plenty of multipliers. Players can win up to 93,750x their bet and it has received rave reviews.
The other would have to be one of our all-time classics, Wolf Gold. It has done incredibly well for Pragmatic Play and is one of the best-performing games in the industry. Wolf Gold has won multiple awards for us, giving great recognition to one of the highlights of our portfolio, so of course it is one of my favourites.
What is the most important aspect of the game from your perspective?
Creating a game that a player enjoys. User experience is so important, so making the interface sleek and making the experience as smooth as possible for players on all devices is key. Equally, players want to win money, or have the chance at winning life-changing sums. Finding the right balance for volatility is key, but ultimately it all ties back into the user experience. If a player can enjoy an immersive gaming session, with a clear understanding of how they can win big sums, the game becomes a success.
Why players should play your games?
Every game in the Pragmatic Play portfolio is designed to be immersive, engaging and exciting, with a variety of themes, paylines and reel structure. This gives Pragmatic Play fans a huge offering of diverse content, from simple 3×3 games that give a classic feel to more graphic heavy, feature-laden adventure slots that take players on a journey. Our offering has something for everyone, but every title will give players a premium gaming experience.
Gaming industry future predictions?
A lot changes in the industry, as it is so fast moving. We have seen innovations such as the Megaways mechanic or daily jackpots become very common in the slots vertical almost overnight. Similarly, gamification tools are now a must, something that was very rare even just a couple of years ago.
It is a very exciting time, but innovation can sometimes be slowed by regulatory frameworks. One thing is for certain is that regulation will continue to tighten, which is a positive thing for everybody. The provider who can react to these regulations first will be in the driving seat for future innovations, whatever that may be.
